My absolute least favorite part about the farmhouse is the wood stove.

I love the warm, dry heat and the fresh smoky smell from the fire, the cozy atmosphere and the exceptional savings on my propane bill. But it is SO. MUCH. WORK. From chopping the wood to carrying the wood to cleaning up the endless wood chips, dirt, dust and bugs, this stove makes an endless amount of chores. It is SO worth it though. Snuggled up with some hot tea, a sleepy dog and a good book, I am oh so content.
