Shady Garden

Lounging on my deck in the high noon sun, I see my garden in all its shaded glory. The tiny plants, some wilted, some with miniature, underdeveloped and deformed fruit sit amongst the untouched weeds. Lesson learned: do not assess amount of sun an area will get in winter months while trees do not have leaves. I thought I had it covered. I checked multiple times at different times of day and the area that Adam cleared consistently had sun. In the winter. I’m not giving up and I think I have the perfect place for next year’s garden, an area that has unfettered sunlight for 9 hours during the day.
